Cracker Bag comes from Australian director Glendyn Ivin and takes us into the world of 10-year old girl, Eddie, as she obsessively saves her pocket money to buy fireworks for cracker night (5th November). However, the event does not go as planned. It is set in 1980 and inspired by Ivin’s own childhood – before cracker night was outlawed in Australia. The film won the Palm d’Or at Cannes and Ivin has gone on to work as a director for Australian television.
